Nexus Animated Items Available as Add Ons

I'm going to try and highlight different items available as Add Ons here in Updates. Today we're taking a look at the Nexus Animated DVD that Steve spent several years and over $10,000 using volunteer animators from Disney, WB and Dream Works. We gave a sneek peek at the animation in the trailer.

NEXUS ANIMATED DVD - $10
Over 10 years in the making, the Nexus Animated DVD brings to life the characters from the comic book, Nexus, in this 2-minute animated promo film. With every frame of animation drawn by hand, whether you’re a devoted fan of the Nexus comic series, or a producer looking for the next Big Thing, you’ll remember this film as something unique for your animation library. Also includes a bonus feature: The Making of Nexus, the Comic, a Nexus Animated Bible, and a Special Letter written by Steve. Comes in a resealable bag to protect your video for years to come!

DRAW NEXUS TIPS AND TECHNIQUES - $20
For the first time ever, Steve shares his vast collection of model sheet drawings from the Nexus animated promo. Along with feature model sheets of the entire Nexus cast, you'll see how Rude approaches Figure Construction, drawing the human (and non-human) head, as well as hardware like space ships and futuristic interiors. Each drawing has Rude's trademark simplicity of explanation, that will benefit professional as well as the newest of beginners.
Also included is a special section featuring the Nexus Fundraiser drawings that Steve did back in 2002. Some of the requests were pretty wacky, so prepare for the unexpected in this special bonus section of our tips and techniques volume of How to Draw Nexus!

Steve was watching the numbers last night and he can't express how much your support means to him.
STRETCH GOAL #4 MET: PENCILS IN THE HARDCOVER
92 pages will be added to the hardcover book consisting of a title page, an end pinup, and 90 story pages of pencils! The designer already has them inserted into the book!

Steve and I are overwhelmed by your support! This is our most expensive printing ever. Your support means the world. HItting $50,000 means the printing is covered, $75,000 shipping and supplies are covered, and $100,000 means Steve can fund the new Nexus book!
If you didn't see the challenge coin from our 2015-20 sketchbook it was more impressive than anyone thought it would be. So much so we've decided to do it again!

WHO RECEIVES THE COIN?
Everyone that has a mailed level will receive one coin along with the temporary tattoo, sticker and postcard. Additional coins may be ordered for $10 by updating your pledge or during checkout in November.
COIN DETAILS
These 2" coins are done in Antique Silver, with a standard flat border, die struck (no color) with a 3D mold and fine sandblasting. Finally, they are individually packaged in PVC envelopes.
They are just as impressive as they sound!

We've explored the hardcovers, now let's take a look at the trade paperback!
The goal of the Trade Paperback is to give you most everything while staying affordable.
WHAT's INSIDE
WHY ARE THE EXTRAS A STRETCH GOAL?
Because the extras were originally designed for the oversized Newspaper, the designer is finding it challenging to say the least. We don't feel it's fair for him to put in all the hard work without getting paid, but it doesn't fit in the budget to pay him for the extra work of redesigning the page. Thankfully, the hardcover did not have such problems!
DIFFERENT DESIGNER - DIFFERENT LOOK
The Trade paperback does not have Endspapers, but we are planning to do a color inside front cover to showcase the winning design he did that could have been endspaper (had we chosen his design for the hardcover).
Chapter Titles and Pages are for reference only and will be changed before printing

These are going to be nice BIG cards with RED envelopes Finished size is 5x7 and they come flat.
WHEN YOU ORDER ”I WANT IT FOR CHRISTMAS”
-You will receive a printed 5x7 certificate for each book you ordered
-You will also receive a digital version
-You will receive a set of 10 cards with envelopes
-You will receive your order (without Gourmando books) shipped to arrive before Christmas
-The books will ship when they arrive in house, anticipated March 2021

The cost of the pledge helps us cover the additional cost of shipping to you twice and we’re hoping the cards and physical certificate make up for the added cost. We would, honestly, prefer to ship in 2 groups so when the books come it’s only books that need to be shipped, however, we don’t like the idea of double charging for shipping so this was our way of making it your option and giving you something of value! Good idea? Bad? You be the judge and let us know!
